Ahhh airports. The best of times (getting to your destination) and the worst of times (everything else). There is nothing quite like the feeling of having a layover. The sinking
in your stomach, the nausea; some airports however, are really
catering to the client and implementing some fun. This month on AU, we appreciate the finer things in life- like airports that don't destroy your soul. Yes..... they
do exist.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has bent over backwards for you the bend backwards. The recently opened yoga room allows travelers to find their inner calm in the 150 square foot room. Although it is on the smaller side, the studio can provide tremendous relief for those with long hours to spend at the airport.
Since their installation of a temporary ping-pong table last year,
Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) has decided to keep it as a permanent fixture. The positive response towards ping-pong from travelers was so overwhelming that the airport officials have decided to keep the table around indefinitely.
Getting to your hotel from the airport can be a hassle on public transport, so
Boston Logan (BOS) has decided to waive the public transport fare from the airport to the South Street Station. From there, the transfer to the subway will also be free.
And a little extra legroom...
Last week we reported that Southwest and AirTran were
having a mega deal on fall travel. Basically every other airline has hopped on that train and is now offering deals on fall travel until tomorrow.
And lastly, a big shout-out to JetBlue for coming in first on the American Consumer Satisfaction Index for airline satisfaction.
