Life in Luxury at the Bellagio Best of IgoUgo

Overview

Quote:
The Bellagio is one of the only hotels on the Las Vegas Strip to receive the AAA Five-Diamond Award and once you enter this hotel you’ll know why. Staying at the Bellagio made me feel like I was royalty. From the moment that I walked into the building I was surrounded by beauty: the ceiling with its hanging Chihuly art glass masterpiece, the entry with its large marble tiles and custom made area rug, the conservatory with its fresh flowers and trees right off of the entry and of course entering my room was an awe inspiring experience too. The rooms are furnished with stunning carpet, granites, marbles and electric curtains. The bed was draped with beautiful fabrics from the ceiling and pulled back to ...Read More

Bellagio Best of IgoUgo

Hotel

Quote:
The Bellagio is such an incredible hotel, it is one of the only two hotels on the strip with a five-diamond rating from AAA. From the moment that I arrived I knew this had to be the nicest hotel that I had ever stayed at. When I stepped out of the taxi I knew that I was going to feel like royalty for a week. Out in front of the hotel there is a huge lake area that plays a water and light show choreographed to music. The lobby area has a one of a kind Dale Chihuly glass flower sculpture on the ceiling, featuring 2,000 individually blown glass pieces and it covers 2,000feet² of the ceiling. Off of the lobby they have a conservatory that has amazing flower and plant displays all year round. It takes a st...Read More

Prime Steakhouse Best of IgoUgo

Restaurant

Quote:
Prime is an elegant restaurant and served quite a remarkable meal. The food they serve is so wonderfully irresistible I thought it should have melted in my mouth. This is one restaurant you can't miss while you’re in Vegas, if you enjoy a good steak. Prime is located next to the fountains at the Bellagio. This restaurant is in the downstairs portion of the hotel and has elegantly draped huge windows that overlook the Bellagio fountain show. This restaurant is very classy and well worth the money. The staff was very courteous and very knowledgeable on their selections of wine and food. All of the food is pretty much á la carte. The side portions were large enough to share though. The ambia...Read More

Bellagio Buffet Best of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Buffet at Bellagio"

Quote:
The Buffet at the Bellagio is not a cheap Vegas buffet, if those still exist. The Bellagio is an upscale hotel with very nice amenities and restaurants. This buffet does live up to the expectations of the Bellagio. The buffet serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The selections of food offered are Italian, American, Chinese, and Japanese and of course the normal Vegas buffet prime rib and seafood. This buffet always has soups, salads and fresh fruit selections also. I should mention that they have some incredible desserts to choose from too.The seating area is fairly large at this buffet but it does seem to fill up though, especially at dinner time. This is typical for most busy restaurants...Read More

Bellagio Fountains Best of IgoUgo

Attraction

Quote:
The fountains at the Bellagio are a wonderfully romantic spot to hit in the evening when the sun sets and the lights in the water take on a glowing effect. This show has water, fountains, and lights all choreographed to music in front of a beautiful Italian themed hotel. The music played at the fountain shows ranges anywhere from Sarah Brightman to Elvis Presley. This free fountain show plays in front of the Bellagio hotel in the quarter mile long lake area. The show lasts only a few minutes but then will replay a different show every half hour or every quarter of an hour, depending on the time of the day. There are 1,200 nozzles and 4,500 lights that make up this extravagant fountain show. ...Read More

Comedy Stop Best of IgoUgo

Attraction

Quote:
The Comedy Stop is located at the Tropicana Hotel and has been there since 1990. The first location was opened in Atlantic city in 1983. The Comedy Stop prides itself for picking out the up-and-coming comedians. It has been a stage to numerous stars over the years. The line up usually consists of three stand-up comedians, most of whom you’ve probably never heard of. These comedians perform two times a night with shows at 8 and 10pm. The 8pm is a non smoking show. The same three comedians perform all week long which gives you a chance to go back and see the whole routine again, if desired. The club is lined with rows of long cheap tables and smaller tables in the back and near the s...Read More

Trevi Fountain Best of IgoUgo

Attraction

Quote:
Wandering down the sidewalk on the Las Vegas Strip to Caesars Palace, towards the outside of the Forum Shops there is a newer addition which is quite impressive. It's a replica of the fountain of Trevi (Fontana di Trevi). The original fountain is in Italy and it is claimed to be the largest Baroque Fountain in Rome. The original one stands 85 feet high and is 65 feet wide. In the middle of this fountain is a large statue of Neptune, who represents the god of the sea. He is riding on a shell, pulled by two sea horses who are guided by a Triton. A Triton is part of the Greek mythology and refers to a man but with a tail of a fish. The horses in the fountain are suppose to represent the sea a...Read More

Fontana Bar Best of IgoUgo

Attraction

Quote:
My boyfriend and I were searching for a nice place to relax while wandering through the Bellagio Hotel one evening on our trip. We were walking along the casino floor and we heard a band playing from within the Fontana Bar. The music sounded all right and inside the lounge area there were breathtaking views of the fountain show, so we decided this was where we wanted to be. Outside of the lounge there was a normal looking bar with swivel chairs and casino games. There weren’t any fees to get into the lounge but they do count on everyone ordering a drink from their bar, naturally. The drinks are pricey just like everything else at the Bellagio but I felt like it was well worth it to be able to sit back...Read More
