Quote: This was probably one of the most horrible experiences I ever had. It felt like a big trap. You walk in and there's thumping music. No windows. A lot of darkness. Before you even have a chance to look at the menu, they pour $10 bottle of water into your glasses. Menu was way overpriced for items you have no idea what they are. I ended up paying $100 some dollars for some of lowest priced items on the menu for 3 people. I could not wait to get out of there. It almost seemed like a death trap.

Quote: This was an amazing place built on sensory stimulation. You walk in the restaurant and are standing on live grass! There are video screens to watch, hookah pipes to smoke, fantastic food to eat, and a VIP lounge with a hammock! This place is a lot of fun!

Quote: Tantra prides itself on living up to the name. From the moment you step inside onto the fresh grass of the lobby, your senses are encouraged into overdrive. The scene is very hip, very sexy. The film Kama Sutra is played over the bar to a soundtrack of groovy trance. The decor is a mix of Pan-Asian art, gothic chandeliers, white drapes and velvet seating. Lighting is dim, gold and red. Think rubies and jasmine candles. The menu consists of mostly aphrodisiacs. The Morroccan spiced lamb was rare and succulent, served over tangy hummus. Savor your time here in this unusual mosaic of unique sensual samplings.

Quote: Exit the humid South Beach night and step into the dark luxurious den of Tantra. This place is all about your five senses: The smells of the incense - The sounds of the music and waterfalls - The sights of the candles and suggestive scupltures - The feel of the real lush grass floor - The tastes of the food, said to be aphrodisiacal. It all works together to take you away from reality. Of course, the martinis they offer don't hurt either. The apple and chocolate martinis are two of my favorites! The food is delicious and our waiter recommended that we eat with our eyes closed to fully capture the many tastes in each bite. Tantra is a wonderful experience but very expensive. It's one of the more popular places in South Beach... Read More
