Flying can be a long, stressful part of traveling, and many times can be full of bumps and holdups. With more airlines trying to fit more passengers into less flight, the chances of a long, luxurious flight with lots of peace and few distractions may seem like just a pipe dream. A few airlines, however, are taking steps to lead to more relaxing and enjoyable flights.
If you plan on flying from
Kuala Lumpur to
London this summer,
Malaysia Air is offering a full deck on their airbus that is designated as a child-free zone. Children and families with toddlers will still be able to fly on the plane, but will be restricted to the bottom level. The idea is to offer a quieter level for fliers without kids.
Virgin Airline’s Mogul Richard Branson has recently announced that their TV channel will be producing shows for Virgin America flights. The airline has teamed up with several web series producers and celebrities to offer shorts in-flight that will be changed roughly four times per year. These shows will be original content, departing from the traditional in-flight movies.
LAN Chile will soon use brand new cabins that have seriously upgraded air-filter systems. The filters will pull in air from the outside and separate out the ozone. HEPA filters round out the system to filter out other germs that circulate through the plane.
