"Hey look kids, there's Big Ben, and there's Parliament." - Clark Griswald
About Me: As a kid, I always enjoyed the summer family vacation that my parents would plan each year - Yellowstone, Colorado, and Washington DC were particular favorites. Growing up, my dad was a huge trip planner. As we would drive across the U.S. in our minivan, he always an interesting stop planned along the way. I looked forward to the continental breakfast in the budget hotel of choice and could not wait to try the little sample soaps.
Over time, these little vacations quickly bloomed into a love for travel. When I graduated college, I stayed with my parents for the summer and tagged along on their first retirement trip. After surviving my first 8+ hour flight, Florence, Rome, Venice, Paris, and Interlaken Switzerland were at my fingertips. Great scenery, museums, people, and food made this a trip I would never forget. And ... it opened my eyes to different cultures and experiences.
My husband and I were married in 2006 and I took on the role of trip planner. Many people looked to the all-inclusive honeymoon to avoid the hassel of researching activities and meals. I was a little nervous about planning a trip for my new hubby, but it played out so well that he asked me to plan all of our future trips - which I happily accepted.
We have been seeking opportunities to explore this amazing world ever since and hope to one day open our children's eyes to the world outside of Dallas, TX.
