Quote: This was our second stay. Good breakfast. Nice location - a block from the Vatican. About a fifteen minute walk to the Metro, but bus stop just a block away. Will definitely stay again.

Great location, wonderful staff

Quote: This hotel is located within 2 blocks of a train station and the Vatican. We felt comfortable walking to dinner in the evening. Staff was courteous and helpful: we were able to get into our room early (at 10:30 AM); staff had recommendations on... Read the full Starhotels Michelangelo review

The hotel was average

  • April 12, 2025
Quote: Ok for are first trip to rome. However, room was small, air was poor and walls needed a paint job. Close to Vatican but far from everything else.

Great location near Vatican. Close metro stop.

Quote: My colleagues and I traveled to Rome for a conference. The hotel was great and cleaner/closer than I expected. The rooms were small, but well maintained and the staff were professional and responsive to our needs. Internet access was limited to 30... Read the full Starhotels Michelangelo review

Quote: The staff was very friendly and spoke english well. The food is very expensive at this place and there were no restaurants nearby that we could tell ( we had no car). We ate at the bar where the ffod was a bit cheaper and the bertender was great -... Read the full Starhotels Michelangelo review

A wonderful staff that was always helpful!

Quote: This was a nice hotel about a mile away from the Pantheon, two blocks from the Vatican. The staff was wonderful, helpful in everyway possible. The only glitch for the entire stay was that it was very warm in Rome, 70 -80 degrees my entire stay, and... Read the full Starhotels Michelangelo review

BEST THING ABOUT IT IS THE LOCATION

  • 3 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • February 11, 2025
Quote: If it had not been such a fantastic location this would not be a good place to stay. Unless you were an attractive lady needing help it was difficult to get any assistance from the desk clerks. Breakfast was the worst that I have ever had and I have... Clean room, excellent location for Vatican and public transportation

  • 4 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • February 8, 2025
Quote: We were very pleased with this hotel and, for Rome, it is an excellent value. The room, bed, and bathroom were clean. However, don't be fooled by the hotel's corporate website, it is not up to the standards of an American hotel with this many stars-... Read the full Starhotels Michelangelo review

Excellent Location for Vatican and St. Peter's Square

  • 4 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • February 8, 2025
Quote: You can't beat the location if you're interested in visiting the Vatican. It is about a 2 block walk from the hotel to St. Peter's square/Vatican. Across St. Peter's square is where you can catch a hop on/hop off bus to take you to the other sites... Read the full Starhotels Michelangelo review
