A June 2001 trip to Cancun by QUI QUI
Quote: A top-class resort with everything you can dream of. This holiday has left me with memories I shall share forever.
Overview
At the resort I will never forget the amazement I felt when I entered a lobby that was decorated with plants and chandeliers and shining marble floors. The room was fantasic -- a double jacuzzi at the bottom of our bed with a view of the sea -- simply perfect. The maids were very friendly and they came to your room every day, sometimes twice! They would leave towels at the end of our bed that they would make into swans and heart shapes; it really did give that extra touch to the room.
There ar 6 restaraunts to choose from at the Moon Palace: Italian to Spanish to Mexican to Japanese, or you can simply have a barbacue by the beach. These dining options were all fantastic; I can't fault anything.
The pool was huge and there were plenty of sunbeds, so there was no need to do the German thing and get up at 6 to put your towel on one to reserve it. Loads of activities by the pool as well so you could join in and play volley ball or water aerobics and just simply relax and enjoy the scorching hot sun with a cocktail and listen to the sound of thoses holiday tunes...I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK !
Restaurant
The tables were dressed with yellow and red table clothes to give that Mexican feel. You can sit at a table overlooking the lagoon if you wish, that adds the romantic touch if there is just the 2 of you.
The food that Captain's Cove has to offer is mainly seafood, but they do serve fajitas and other Mexican dishes too. The waiters are very friendly and make sure that your dining experience with is a memorable one.
