Quote: Carlos and Charlie’s restaurant is more of a night out than a regular restaurant. It’s also not for the faint-hearted or shy. During dinner, they will pull you out of your seat, whether you want to or not, and whisk you away to dance with the waiters. They do mock shows that sometimes get a little out of hand. The best one we saw was about a ‘fire’ started in the kitchen, and so the waiter started chasing the chef around the restaurant with a meat cleaver. They jumped over our table and smashed into the table next to us (I think this part was accidental, as they knocked it over, with all the drinks). Many times they ran into people, and once, knocked someone off their chair (again, this was an accident). They just get so into the comedy... Read More

Quote: Now if you want a real adventure go to Carlos and Charlies. They have moved to the Forum area right in the center of it all next to the Hardrock. Get there around 7pm. There is a standing bike that you peddle as soon as you go in. If you reach a certain area you get a free dinner. Don't try this as the chain is off. When you first sit down the waiters come over and only speak Mexican. The only two words they know are "Tequila" and "Faihtas." Sure enough they keep on bringing you bags of Faihtas and a few shots of Tequila. As for the atmosphere, it is like a show there. First they had a wrestling match with Batman and Superman. Then a fire extigusher went off. Free shots of Tequila and then came the barbers chair. You sat in this... Read More

Quote: Carlos & Charlie's is a Mexican restaurant chain and a fun place. It doesn't matter which location you visit -- you still get good food and have a great time. The tablecloths are made of brown paper. The music is rockin' and the waiters sometimes come over and sing along and play air guitar! My husband and I had Cilantro Queso, which turned out to be Mexican mozzarella sticks. If you are very hungry, you will need to order more food. My parents had a chicken entree (as usual) and they loved it. There is a DJ and a dance floor, and he took requests from the customers who seemed to love disco. The dance floor was hopping and everyone had a great time. When the waiter asks if you would like to see the dessert menu, they stamp the... Read More

Quote: We stood on chairs and did the "chicken dance", and watched waiters help customers toss down a shot or two. The food was moderate to good, and the waitstaff was friendly and fun. They kept our drinks flowing while awaiting dinner.

Quote: Very mediocre food and entertainment. I had the catch of the day, but it tasted like it was frozen fish. They also kept pushing drinks and seemed annoyed that we only ordered bottled water. They then tried to push desserts and we declined. Would not return.

Quote: Prepare for an experience at this friendly spot with a lively atmosphere, good food, and great service! Don't expect to sit in a corner without joining in the fun (in the nicest possible way). We enjoyed our first visit so much that we went back for a second experience -- which was completely different but just as good.
