Quote: Excellent location for tourists. Although room was small, you really don't spend much time in the room anyway! Loved the "guest closet"in the hall..has extra pillows, irons, sewing kits & coffee. Transformers was filming in front of the hotel during my stay, and it wasn't too bad. Sometimes you had to wait only 5-10 minutes to leave the building. I was travelling alone, and at night I had to walk around the back of the block to get back in, which was the part I didn't care for. Also you have to go down to the basement to get ice/vending, but there are washing machines down there too.

Quote: We just returned from Chicago and our stay at Club Quarters. We loved the location. Club Quarters is near so many places so you can walk to all of them. Macy's, Milliniuem Park, The Art Institute, The Tribune...... It sits on the river across from the Trump Tower. What a view of the skyscrapers. The hotel's age is a bonus. The older hotel just gives one more unique experience. Our room could have used a new chair to relax in but otherwise we had a great rest there.

Quote: Clean, up-to-date, quiet room. Check-in and check-out was smooth. Great location, short cab ride from Union Station and a convenient walk to my business meeting. As a women travelling alone, I felt very safe at this hotel. It reminded me of a boutique hotel in Canada.

Deceptive Advertising, Greedy Management

Quote: Advertisement was for a '2 bedroom suite', but their were no walls or doors between the 'bedrooms'. Management refused to issue a refund despite their misleading advertisement (telling us that they never guaranteed doors or walls), and charged us for a full night's stay. Make sure you understand what you're getting into when you book a room, because once they've got hold of your money they won't let go!

Quote: It was my first time staying at Club Quarters and I will consider it again. The staff was very warm and welcoming and effecient. The rooms were small (and I got a larger room) but certainly comforable and ample. The chilled water on each floor -at no cost - was a treat! food from the italian restaurant was excellent. There were a couple of quirks - the remote needed a bettery - some channels didn't com in very well. There wasn't a stand for my suitcase. But all in all - especially for the price - it was a good chocie. I will lilkely stay again before consider joining.

Quote: I was very happy with this hotel in spite of having a room with a view of alleys when I looked down from my 4th floor window or of surrounding skyscrapers when I looked up. I believed people who booked their reservations designated as the River Hotel (shared the same address as Club Quarters) got room with beautiful views of the Chicago River and Michigan Avenue buildings. The check-in and check-out were quick. My room was tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed. The room was clean and purified drinking water (you bottle yourself) was available near the elevator (I tend to buy bottle water when I travel so to have good drinking water readily available was a welcomed delight). The staff was helpful. I... Read More

Quote: We really enjoyed our hotel. The room was small but well furnished. It was quiet, couldn't hear the other rooms. The location was great; we walked to shopping on Michigan and down to Macy's on State St. My daughter liked the complimentary bottled water.
