Susana Castello, a Reservations Manager is an outstanding contact. She responds by e-Mail to your every request.
Opulence is the key-word at this resort. ... Crisply ironed sheets on the very luxurious beds are your first clue.
Tap water is "certified", we (4) drank it daily, with no ill effects.
Rent a car ! ...... Lowest price was from Pay-Less, followed by "All over Baja" we paid $180 per week incl full insurance.
We bought vouchers from website: [email protected].
You get 35% off various venues & restaurants. Vouchers not used are fully refunded to your charge card.
Best venue was by far "Sea Eye" a hydrofoil boat which speeds you out to the Arches where you observe divers under the boat via a ten foot diameter glass bottom in the boat.
The boat then speeds you to all sides of the arches seeing Lovers Beach, Divorce Beach, Lovers Cave etc.
Horseback riding at Courisuva also a must, as is a trip to San Jose del Cabo with its many restaurants & music-supported fountains in the square.
To access Supermarkets one must drive in the Service Road which is beside the super-highway...takes a while to learn.
It pays to buy beer and basic foods & treats at Sam's Club
or Costco...the locals buy at CCC Supermarket.
Nice treat is to have early dinner at Cabo del Sol Country Club which is next door...very inexpensive and very opulent.
Medano Beach (get directions from Concierge) is one can go Parasailing...negotiate price to $30 per person, you can do all that with the Concierge at entrance to Medano Beach.
Using vouchers it was 435 pp less 35% !!! AWESOME HOTEL

thIS HOTEL WAS EVERYTHING WE WANTED. ROOMS WERE NICE, SERVICE WAS GREAT, DRINKS WERE MADE REALLY WELL, THE POOL WAS SPECTACULAR, AND THE BEACH WAS BEAUTIFUL. IF I HAD ONE COMPLAINT IT WOULD BE THAT THE FOOD AND DRINKS WERE EXPENSIVE, BUT WORTH IT. i WOULD DEFINETLY STAY HERE AGAIN.
Hola Hacienda

This was our second visit to the Hacienda del Mar. Weather superb, pools and beach a 10 and service was above standard. The rooms need updating. Only restaurant I would recommend is Girasoles. Follow the happy hours for the best drink prices.
Nice but...

Beautiful beaches, pools and meticulously groomed grounds. However, the hotel hits you with a hard timeshare pitch during registration. Internet service is a ridiculous US $18.00 per day. Meals at the hotel restaurants run about $25.00 per person. A margarita is $8.00, plus tip. The hotel meals can rapidily exceed the cost of your room, and there's no place else to eat within miles. The hotel is expensive but very nice; what isn't nice are the constant attempts to extract more money from your wallet with their overpriced extras.
Fabulous Christmas Vacation
