A MUST TO STAY AT!

This for me is up there with my top hotels in Vancouver, I would highly reccomend this to friends, travelers and families. I don't have any complaints, the rooms are big, their staff is just amazing and the rooms are very quiet. There are two things that I felt that they could improve on which is their bathroom size and the crazy wall to wall painting in their 50 feet pool area with a nice hot tub. I stayed at the four sessons and the pan pacific and for the price you can't beat it for this kind of casual luxury. I am a very fussy person and this hotel met my standards and more. I recently went there for my birthday and stayed once again in their suites and was shocked to find that the room look the same as when I was there last time but for the price you get a room the size of a average apartment and your own balcony with a very nice view.

Don't let the older building put you off. The Coast Plaza is clean, neat, well-maintained and staffed by terrific people. The kitchen suite is an awesome value for the cost.
intenet service needs updating but otherwise pretty good

I stayed at this hotel in October 2008 and teh wireless internet service was spotty, and an office that is available in the lobby for web browsing and printing often had others waiting or door was locked. Room was clean, included a kitchen area and maid service was fast and effcient. for what I paid I was pleasantly surprised and would stay at this hotel again

This was truly a great experience! When I booked the trip, I found out I was placed in a room with double beds. Since I was travelling alone, I called the hotel after I found out and the lady politely told me there were no king sized beds available so I would be stuck with double beds. I was not too happy about that, but figured there was nothing I could do. When I showed up to the hotel and went to the room, I saw they did place me in a room with a king sized bed! I was very impressed. The room was immaculate and large. The balcony was also quite large and there were huge windows. I recommend getting a one-bedroom suite, as these rooms seem to be on the higher floors and the views are amazing. When I go back to Vancouver, this is the hotel I will stay in, as it is close to everything you will want to see. The Internet is free, but it is wireless. However, if you don't have a wireless computer, they have an adapter you can buy for $150 and then they credit you back $150 when you return it at check-in. Internet was slower than I was used to, but was fine. Local calls are also free, which is nice.

This hotel is located in the West End, right off of Denman Street.Lots to see and do within walking distance.Lots of nice restaurants,bars and shopping.There's a mall underneath the hotel,so if you forgot anything at home,you can swing by the grocery store or the Shopper's Drugstore (complete with post office for mailing postcards).
Pillows are thin, but our room was big, spacious and clean.Housekeeping can be a bit blunt/rude,but don't take it personally.Daily newspaper delivery was a nice touch.Our room had a kitchenette,so we could keep our water bottles/beverages cool.Didn't use the kitchen,though, as we ate out all the time.So much good food in Vancouver!
We were very happy with our stay at the Coast and we will definitely stay there on our next trip to Vancouver.
