Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort All-InclusiveBest of IgoUgo

Hotel | "Palace Resort at Moon Palace"

Best Things Nearby:
Resort was in secluded area. Approx. 1/2 hour from Cancun - Hotel Zone.

Best Things About the Resort:
Large pools with attractive settings - attractive/beautiful/well kept grounds - friendly people - variety of activities offered

Resort Experience:
Pools - large - many seats but had to reserve the ones in the sun at the Sunrise by 7am

Food - OK - mostly buffet - always fish, hamburger, pizza, chicken for lunch, great breakfast buffet - go to both a la carte's - Oriental and Spanish - collar shirt, enclosed shoes and long pants for guys at the a la carte

Drinks - weak - just ask for extra liquor - mimosa and bloody Marys by Sunrise pool every morning

Beach - nice sandy area - seaweed in water - not the pretty color of hotel zone

Grounds - very large resort - beautifully maintained grounds - smelly in parts of Nizuc section - few stray cats - shy but cute

Many activities poolside at Sunrise - Look for dinner shows and children's activities on sign by Sunrise gym - did not attend so can't comment on any of them

Take out the bikes they have on your first morning – it opens at 8am and have to go early before the paths get crowded with people and golf carts. This way you can go through the entire property and see what is where. Go to both lobbies and check out what restaurant is where.

Poolside activities for Sunrise Pool are listed in the activity area – it’s best to try to listen to announcements around 9am in the morning. They had a sand castle contest one day for kids and other regular activities like pool volleyball, aerobics in the pool, and things like that. For rainy day activities, check the sign in Sunrise lobby outside the gym room -- they usually have movies every day in one of the ballrooms.

We didn't attend any dinner shows. They usually have a buffet and the show starts about 8pm – they are always listed on a few signs in the lobbies.

Both lobbies were very nicely decorated for Christmas and both Sunrise and Nizuc had big dinners. On Christmas Eve, we attended a buffet on the Nizuc side that was very nice – we had turkey and gravy.
