From the Austin City Limits website:

How can I get tickets to a taping?
There are four steps to obtain free Austin City Limits tickets.
1. Please call the KLRU Hotline at (512) 475-9077.
2. Listen carefully to the message and find out the artist, taping date, time and which radio station(s) to listen to for the ticket distribution announcement.
3. Listen closely to that radio station one to two working days before the taping for a ticket distribution announcement. This announcement will state the location of the ticket giveaway.
4. When you hear the announcement, go immediately to the location of the distribution to pick up the tickets. Tickets go *very quickly*, sometimes within five minutes of the announced giveaway time.

Tickets are distributed by KLRU staff and are free on a first-come, first-served basis. Two tickets per person are allowed.

If the distribution is at KLRU, we are located in Communication Building "B" at the corner of 26th Street and Guadalupe on the University of Texas campus.

Unfortunately a ticket does not guarantee admission to the taping. However, KLRU strives to admit every ticket holder to every taping. Fire codes limit our capacity to 400 audience members. In order to be assured of a full house for the taping, KLRU distributes in excess of 400 tickets to account for "no-shows." Our advice is *arrive early* on the night of the taping.

(In process) Inaugurated 28-29, September 2002, this brand-new music festival is slated to become an annual event. During the two-day event, over 70 acts spread among six stages packed 10.5 hours each day with music. Country, rock, folk, gospel, and latin styles were well represented, balancing many local Austin bands with nationally-known performers.

Practical advice: take sunscreen, water, and bike/bus to the event.
