Quote: It was the little country that could. Luxembourg, with its lush hills crowned with chateaux, delicious cuisine, a myriad of walking trails, crisp white wines and endless momentos to the Battle of the Bulge, could be the best-kept travel secret in Western Europe.

Quote: My brother-in-law had business meetings in Luxembourg, so my wife and I accompanied him as an opportunity to visit this part of Europe. We only had two days for sightseeing. Fortunately, my brother-in-law’s friends in Luxembourg shared with us their suggestions so that we could do as much as possible.

Quote: Luxembourg City is the capital of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a tiny but sovereign state to the south of Belgium. I only managed to do a few things during the 2 days I spent there, but I would love to go back.

Quote: It’s just a 15-minute walk from a major train station, but more than a millenium away in time. Forget the modern world, grab a camera, and join me for a wander among the 1,100-year old stonework and fortiffications of Old Luxembourg. We’ll also visit another ancient city, Cologne.

Quote: Luxembourg is a lovely small country with friendly people, numerous castles and museums, very good food, historical parks, rambling forests for hiking and not too many tourists.

Quote: Vianden is a small town/village about 1 hr. from Luxembourg City. It is topped the Chateau de Vianden - a 9th century castle that is a great place to explore. The town is surrounded by rolling green hills and is very picturesque.

Quote: The old section of Luxembourg City has been designated a heritage site by UNESCO. The country is small & so is the city but there is much to see and I had no trouble keeping busy during my 3 day visit.
