New member MagdaDH is a Poland native and Scotland resident--or, as she puts it, a “round Pole in Scottish sticks.” Among her growing collection of Europe journals, we particularly love Poland by the native, a helpful and humorous rundown of what not to miss in her homeland.
Some highlights? MagdaDH shares six picks for must-see historic towns; lists four ways to enjoy Poland’s great outdoors; and writes all about Sopot, “a town abundant in students and artists, poets and architects, drunken houses and decorative people.”
There are many more recommendations, plus an introduction to Poland that includes safety tips like, “Please, don't try to drink a Pole under the table, especially when spirits are concerned.” Good to know.
MagdaDH’s insider takes on Poland and other destinations (London on the cheap, anyone?) prove that there’s nothing like a local to show you the road less traveled.
