In his ever-expanding, authoritative journal on visiting Cyprus, new member Hishyeness shares top attractions and restaurants found over nearly a decade of summers on the Mediterranean island. And where humor and history meet, the travel journal is sure to be sweet.
Read Summering in Cyprus – June to July 2009 for Hishyeness’ playful takes on everything from archaeological sites to traditional sweets. (He divulges both where to find the “best homemade chocolate in all of Cyprus” and where to engage in a “real sensory experience” for macadamia iced coffee.)
When you’re done salivating over delicious Cypriot foodstuffs, don’t miss Hishyeness’ photos from more destinations. He has a knack for catching people and places in lovely light, a talent we were quite jealous of until we read how he does it: “I was mad enough to get up at a quarter to five to wander down to the beach with my camera and watch dawn break.” He’s right, though, when he says the early effort was well worth it.
