IgoUgo Hall of Famer MilwVon has high praise for one of Arizona’s most beautiful areas and suggestions for tours via car and jeep; traveling engineer has a hike to recommend. And both recent visitors have picks for fine regional food. Time for a trip to Sedona?

If it hadn’t been for the title of MilwVon’s most recent journal, Sedona in Around 24 Hours, we would've sworn she’d spent a week there. With detailed reviews of a great-value lodge, a trio of restaurants, and different ways to spend your days, the journal will sell you on Sedona. (Just don’t leave before reading her other two new Best of IgoUgo journals about Sedona's surrounds, Our Return to Flagstaff and Wonderful Two Days at America’s Top National Park.)

Northern Arizona also welcomed traveling engineer in March, and his Sedona Trails journal focuses on things to do there and in the neighboring historic town of Jerome. A highlight is his review of Elote Café, where, “as you eat, you'll see the chef-owner scurrying to tables proudly with the main courses. If he had the time, he would burst with pride.” And no wonder, having prepared “rich” food that’s got “crunch and tang” and “falls apart on your tongue.” With a delicious meal and a view of Sedona’s “crazy red-rock mountainscape,” traveling engineer gives us one last tantalizing reason to visit the region.
