The wonders of Italy have been good to IgoUgo lately: its largest lake brought mooncross back to us after a 3-year break; its most famous ruin inspired morph! to write; and a cute stranger with mozzarella had deeandrews sharing her first story.
Lake Garda (which gets a nice upgrade to Lago di Garda in Italian) inspired mooncross to share a journal full of recommendations for lodging and sightseeing in the north of Italy. As if we needed more convincing after seeing her spectacular photos, her reviews paint an equally alluring picture of serenity and natural beauty.
Belfast traveler morph!’s back to writing too, with reviews of a “small and stylish” Rome hotel (on a budget!) and the Colosseum, which is “worth coming back to see once more at night” when it's “illuminated beautifully” for “postcard-worthy pics.”
Finally, proving that every traveler and her mother is seduced by Rome, new member deeandrews shares a unique tale of an impromptu lunch date that had she and her mother giggling like schoolgirls and her sister “putting the brakes on” the madness (until a perfect appetizer arrived, at least). Mamma Mia! will remind you of the last time you threw caution to the wind with a “when in Rome” attitude—especially if it involved a tall, dark, and handsome Roman stranger with a restaurant.
