We always love welcoming newcomers to our site, be they new members or visitors just stopping by. This week, there were several newcomers to our top lists, and as always, the destinations involved are as varied as IgoUgo members themselves.
Surprisingly, Jamaica (pictured above) makes its first appearance over other popular destinations, while New Orleans has its first repeat performance with its second consecutive week as a top destination.
Two journals take their introductory places on the list and, while new there, they are certainly not newcomers to the site. The first, Underground in Ellinwood, Kansas, dates from August 2000. The second, The Full Ekka Experience, is not exactly a spring chicken either, but covers the Impulse Travel destination featured on this week’s Picks of the Week email newsletter.
On the blog, two new posts about places that are certainly not new to IgoUgo members proved to be the most popular: Southern Towns Y’all Will Love and 10 Favorite Places to Kayak.
The top photo this week portrays something that is probably new to most visitors to the site, which may be why it garnered so many views. After all, it’s not every day that you come across a floor toilet. At least now, thanks to samepenny, you’ll know how to use it the first time you try.
