IgoUgo's Week in Travel: A Wide Open World

Some weeks, it feels as though the world is a very big place, filled with so many destinations that we’re imtimidated by the thought of ever trying to travel to enough of them. Other times, it’s a small world. This is one of those weeks in between—there is a wide array of destinations topping our lists, yet there are certainly some strange trends that make us realize they’re not so far apart.

Inexplicably, not one, not two, not three, not even four, but five cinemas were among IgoUgo’s most viewed establishments, touching upon some unseen international thread linking Valencia, Munich, Tulsa, Philadelphia, and Stratford-upon-Avon. Of course.

In a slightly less bizarre turn, Bangkok was a top destination for only the second time.

Over the month of July, the international trend continued. Perhaps gearing up for the festivities in Beijing which started today, IgoUgo members contributed nearly 25 journals from China. Here are some more stats from last month at IgoUgo:

Member who submitted the most journals: MichaelJM

Member who submitted the most reviews: dangaroo

Member who submitted the most photos: paolo1899

Destination with the most new journals: A diverse three-way tie between Manchester, New York, and Spain

Destination with the most new reviews: Warsaw

Destination with the most new photos: Santorini, with Mexico City in a close second place. Well, a silver medal is still nice.
