this hotel had a lot to be desired,in my humble opinion, for a rate of over $ there was no complementary breackfast , the lock to the gym was broken, the swimming pool was full of leaves,i have stay at hotels with two stars that can very well compete with this hotel, given the chance to stay at this or another hotel i would not choose this one,i would not stay at this hotel if i have a choice to stay at any other two and a halve hotel, thank you for your concern . yours truly a marte ice and vending machines were only on first floor, but you see signs indicating other floors so you go crazy looking for then just to realize that there arent any
We liked this place, would stay again

Stayed at this hotel a couple of nights before our cruise. The kids loved it. They said that they liked it more than most hotels they have stayed at. (They are used to staying at Holiday Inns). No there are not ammenities, however the bar was available for drinks, coffee, snacks and ice. No vending, but did not care about that. The hotel should be down in the art district as the decor is definitely "artsy".......loved it. Beds were huge and comfortable, hardwood floors were a nice change. Bathroom doors were sliding doors and were a little noisy, but didnt mind. Pool was cold so we did not use. Located very close to a nice mall and several restaurants. If you're looking for a hotel with tons to do on the property, this is not for you. If you need a nice and affordable place to sleep with friendly staff, it is. Will definitely stay at the Indigo again when in the area.
Major Disappointment

This was a huge disappointment! The rooms are well done and we chose this particular hotel because there was no filthy carpeting to walk on and we thought we were getting a 'spa' type hotel. What you get in cleanliness you give up in privacy and sound sleep. The elevator at the other end of the hall vibrated in our room the entire time every time someone went up or down. The couple next door left the radio onfull blast while they hit the clubs until 4AM. If you're looking for a good night's sleep this is not the place! We called maintenance because the reception on the TV was terrible. They arrived 2 1/2 hours later after we'd gone to bed and the TV was no longer an issue. This looks like a 'spa' sort of hotel but the only 'spa' part of it is the Aveda samples that you get in the tub. The pool is not only unheated but it also gets no sun until very late in the day and there is no hot tub. For the price we paid it certainly wasn't worth it and I would never consider staying at another one. On a positive note ... the staff was very courteous.

i stayed at this hotel in aug. 2008... while it was under construction & i still loved it, despite the fact that this hotel was under construction the staff members were still very professional and respectful! the staff was very helpful & friendly... and that is very hard to come by in dade county. the rooms are great... there wasn't much that i didnt dislike! i was very pleased with my stay at this lovely hotel! vending & ice machines were a short distance away from my room, and the food at the hotel's cafe was AMAZING!! all in all this is a great hotel and i highly recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for southern charm!!

Hotel looked great. Staff was very friendly.
I was disappointed in lack of vending. There was an ice bucket in my room, but no ice machines or any type of vending machine. They did offer drinks at their coffee bar downstairs, but hours were limited.
