Ohana Airport Hotel Exceeds Expectations

We stayed one day before our 7 day Hawaiian Island Cruise and another day after our cruise.
We needed a place that was close to cruise port and close to airport
with transportation to and from airport.
The room was more than adequate. We rented a car from Enterprise
which has its airport office within walking distance of the hotel.
It wasnt a 5 star hotel but it provided us with a neat and clean room
and all the amenities and service we required.

I like to stay at this hotel. It is convenient and comfortable. It is easily accessible as we travel around Oahu from an outer island, the rooms are clean, I like the lobby, parking is easy, the complimentary continental breakfast is great, staff is polite.

The room had been recently remodeled, it was clean, and the staff was friendly. A continental breakfast was provided, and adding extra people to my room a day into the stay was no problem. The front desk staff was very kind and patient with weary travelers who had an unexpected layover even when the same questions were asked over and over by each group of travelers. It's a good hotel if you're not needing beach-front/Wakiki property and if you have your own transportation. I didn't see any eating places within walking distance, but snacks, soup, and sandwiches were available in the gift shop. I did not eat in the restaurant but I felt the prices were expensive.

This hotel was great. Location is about 5 min from the airport, their free shuttle runs every 30 mins, 24 hrs a day. Very convenient. Rooms were clean and surprisingly quiet, considering the proximity to a busy airport. We will be staying there in the future. I would recommend it to anyone has an overnight lay-over in Honolulu.
The Worst I've Ever Had

If this is the best you can do when you come to Hawaii, just don?t come. The hotel is on the Access road to the states largest freeway and the rear of the hotel is not more than a few hundred yards off the runway. The shuttle took almost an hour to pick me up at the airport but the ride back to the hotel was not more than 3 minutes. The staff was not unpleasant but very terse and not a smile in sight. The beds are clearly motel rejects. The hotel restaurant doesn?t even open every night, I?ll have to take the ?complimentary? shuttle to the Best Western for dinner, if I happen to want something better, too bad. About the most positive thing to say is that the A/C unit is almost noisy enough to dull the sounds of traffic, until a truck comes by. Business traveling is sometimes less than comfortable but his is the worst I've ever had.
