All You Need Cancun

A March 2002 trip to Cancun by kermit25

This was my second trip back to Cancun. I Stayed at the "Club International". A short walk to Laboom's Night Club!! In crazy Cancun, this resort was peaceful and accessable to everything. It's on the main hotel strip. I had a two bedroom/one and a half bathroom suite. The kitchen had everything! Living room was spacious.

Club Internacional de Cancun

Hotel | "Club International"

The resort was quiet and peaceful, but also family oriented. Right on the beach, but not all rooms have an ocean view. You may face the pools or gardens too. The condo was about 1000 square feet, two bedroom/one and a half bath (one full bath and second bedroom has a sink and mirror). The resort is three levels with elevators. It has a kid pools and playground, games, and snack bar on one side of the resort. The main pool with swim-up bar are on the other.

Good onsite amenities and three restaurants, one on the beach. There's an email and business center. Also a great grocery store, it had everything and at good prices. The resort has a room-card purchasing system. You can pay for everything with your room key. Each signed in guest gets one. Four tennis courts and much more!

If you are worried about what to eat in Cancun . . . DON'T. They have everything you are used to eating in the States! From Outback to Burger King, and even pizza and KFC delivery.

Crab House

Restaurant

This resturant is on the north end of the strip. We took a table out on the lagoon with candlelit tables, and were listening to soft jazz and the waves crashing in (you have to do this at night too!). Their inside dining was nice too. I had eight new friends, and we all had a night out on the town. We got all dressed up and blew a lot of money. Great time!

La Boom

Attraction | "La Boom's, Dady Rocks, Congo Bongo, Booze Cruise,"

These were some wild and crazy parties! I traveled in March when the parties are geared towards spring break. Drink all you can and don't sleep. If you don't want to party, don't go to Cancun ever!! One price to drink all night. Cover charges are higher, due to the free liquor for the night. Caution!! Don't of course forget to be responsible.

AquaWorld Jungle Tour

Attraction | "Take a Jungle Tour- Aqua World"

You start on the lagoon side of Cancun and take an adventurous Waverunner ride or small jet boat through a mangrove mini jungle to the ocean side. You rally the boats in the middle of the ocean, and start a guided snorkel through beautiful coral reef. The snorkeling is unlimited, they come out in groups every 30 minutes so you can take as long as you want. After you head back they feed you lunch, and take your picture.

For an extra $20 you can take the recorded VCR adventure home with you. Yep, they tape each trip. But I'll warn you, controlling a wave runner against crashing waves is work! Thumbs up... gotta try it. If you like that try a submarine deep dive, wave runner rentals, and everything Aqua World offers.
