We tripped into Rosco's by accident. It was only in the years following our visit we have realized how famous it is. You cannot watch a movie about LA without a reference to it. Though it leaves much to be desired as a place to be, so to speak, the food is excellent. Who would think to get a breakfast with what they call "southern fried chicken" and waffles, eggs and potatoes on the same plate? Being that I live in the south, I had to try it.
Even if you aren't near the area, it is well worth the drive. And the next time you watch a movie that mentions it, you will remember that breakfast every time!!
