The food here was excellent, the service fantastic. I had the striped bass, which was served on a bed of oysters. It was excellent. It's in an open room with tables close together but enough room to move in and out of. There are hardwood floors. Watch out, ladies, if you wear heals. There were small groups and couples, but we also eat fairly early, around 6:30pm.

This was truly a good experience. I have eaten at several of Emeril's restaurants and do not get tired of the service or the food.

When we were seated, the person seating us noticed that everyone in our party had black on. Upon seeing this, they immediately went and got us black linen napkins to replace the white linen, to avoid having lint all over our clothes. I thought this was a nice touch.

The servers are the best. They are instructed not to interrupt conversations going on at the tables. We noticed this when my husband, who likes to run his mouth, wouldn't shut up and the servers were standing behind us waiting for a free moment. Since I was anxious to eat, I had to remind my husband to be quiet until our food arrived, or we probably would still be there waiting for my husband to stop talking.

The food was very good. Everything was cooked to perfection and there wasn't a single complaint from our party. It was an experience that I would not mind repeating.

We had New Year's Day lunch at Emeril's (the original). We made reservations over the internet and had no problems. The location is easy to find, the staff was, for the most part, very courteous and friendly. The food was out of this world! Since it is very pricey, we're glad we went for lunch. We had a 10-year-old with us, but she was the youngest person there and we would not recommend it for any child who is younger than this. There is a sophisticated menu and, obviously, no child's menu! Make sure when you go that you use the restrooms. The decor is very chic and fun!

OUTSTANDING. The restaurant was noisy and crowded but that just added to the atmosphere. The food was unbelievable and made it worthwhile. I highly recommend it. The wine list was extensive but it had reasonable alternatives.

A fine dining experience. Superb service. We weren't too adventuresome at these prices and settled for rack of lamb and filet mignon. The truffle mashed potatoes that came with the filet mignon were excellent.

Don't let the "jackets recommended" scare you away. At least half the men there were in sport shirts.
