The peninsula, which juts into the Strait of Hormuz between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, is “only just appearing on tourists' radar screens,” Overlander tells us, for its “spectacular scenery, sailing, and off-road driving.” And there’s more: the peninsula’s fjords and cliffs “rival the best that Norway or British Columbia has to offer,” with magnificent views from both air and sea.
