If you’re tired of destinations that are all hype, embark on a trip that’s guaranteed to be hyper instead. Coffee tourism is a venti deal in much of the world, and tour companies and guides are starting to offer everything from coffee-picking excursions to stays on coffee-producing fincas. (That’s one sure way to wake up and smell the coffee.) Stay on a bean farm in Costa Rica; explore a coffee-rich region of Colombia; visit a working plantation in Australia; or test your kettle mettle in Indonesia. You’ll be joining a growing contingent of caffeine-swigging, java-crazed travel mavericks seeing the world in a cup of joe. Just remember to bring us back a souvenir mug for our morning caffe.
